Friday Fun!

Today we finished out our sound study unit.  Everyone really enjoyed revisiting our loud and soft game from yesterday.  As the year continues, we see more and more parallel play emerging from our friends.  We are learning how to go from being an onlooker, to coming to join the fun our friends are having.  Imitating peers and repeating their actions is an important milestone in toddlerhood!

Painting continues to be a classroom favorite! We are beginning to see emerging prewriting skills from our friends such as: correct pencil grip and imitation on up/down, left/right motions when modeled by an adult.

The weather has been so nice the last two days that we have been able to take advantage of more time outside.  Today was our bike track day. We had a carwash, colored with chalk, rode bikes and pushed vehicles around the track.

Speaking of toddler development, as your youngsters gain more teeth, how they chew and what they can eat changes.  Below is a visual to help show you the approximate size of bites your growing child can safely chew!
