Our Thanksgiving thematic is in full swing in our classroom! Today we introduced two turkey friends at our art easel. We used colored dot stickers to match to the colors of our turkeys' feathers. Many of classmates were excited to decorate the turkeys all over while some of our friends were able to correctly match the sticker color. We are excited to see the continued strengthening of everyone's fine motor skills.
At the art table, children enjoyed using our dot markers to create fall themed masterpieces. This was a new art material for us and one of our favorite parts was the sound effects the markers make when dabbing the paper, it was like a drum circle!
Our children continue to expand their loose parts play and exploration. A favorite of the day was a dish rack with various rings and ribbons. Sliding the rings on and off the pegs helped us use transportation to figure out how our world works.
Our friends are continuing to engage in parallel play and corporative play throughout the day. At the train table, everyone played together with our peg boards, handing each other pieces and building towers.
