We hope you all enjoyed our snow days. Krysti and I were excited to see everyone return to school this morning.
This week, we will continue our exploration of how things fall. We created a wind tunnel using a small fan and acetate sheets. Friends enjoyed placing pom-poms, feathers and scarves in the wind tunnel and watching to see if they would float or not. It was fun to see how high some of the objects would fly. We were interested to see that our bigger pom-poms either wouldn't float or would only dance a little in the fan. This made us wonder what other things might not float. We tried cars and blocks in our tunnel. This activity was a big hit both today and on last Wednesday.
At the easel today, we used contact paper with the sticky side out. We put cotton balls and tissue paper on the contact paper and it didn't fall back down, even without glue! We also got out some paint at our art table for our all time favorite activity.
Today was our day in the Light Studio and Gym. Exploring these places helped us get our winter wiggles out.
