Home and Family

Our toddlers have been so interested in routines and our family tree photos.  This week we introduced our Home and Family exploration.

We made bubble fluff in the blender for our sensory table.  Friends found the loud noise from the blender and fast spinning bubbles very interesting.  We took the fluff to the table and used it to wash our babies.

This week we also introduced Mat Man.  Mat Man is a tool that allows us to work on body awareness.  We sing a song about all of our body parts and their purpose while building Mat Man's body.  Believe it or not, this is actually a pre-writing skill.  Mat Man's body parts are made up of different lines and curves that make up letters.

Our children were able to touch the corresponding body parts on their own bodies while we sang along to the song!

At the art table today we drew family portraits.  Our kiddos were able to draw inspiration for the portraits from the beautiful family pictures you send in.
