Today, we continued our exploration of all things crawly with worms! The children found worms in our garden box last week, and were excited to learn more about them.
We started the day with some collaborative painting of worms. The children used the watercolors to make the worms all different colors. A couple of our friends were really excited to add circles to the painting!
We did some toddler-style small world play with the tree blocks and some toy worms. The children discovered that the worms were really sticky at first!
We read this book while the children were eating snacks. We learned that worms have five hearts! This was a great fact to help prompt us to practice counting to five.
