Friday Fun!

Yesterday, we did a fun experiment with markers, paper towels, and water. The children colored the paper towels with markers, and then Ms. Krysti rolled them up and scrunched them.

Then. we added water and watched our "worms" grow!

Squirting the water was our favorite part of this experiment!

Then we went on a worm hunt to see if we could find some to add to our wormery. We dug near the bike track.

Then we tried finding worms in the outdoor classroom.

Those worms just did not want to be found!

So we gathered some leaves and weeds to add to finish off our wormery.

Today, we asked the other classes to assist with our worm hunt. Peuton and Ganon came through with so many worms!

The Katon children added the worms to our worm habitat! Some of them were really excited to help with the worms and others were just happy to watch the worms in the container.

This was the perfect end to our exploration of worms! Now we will get to see what happens as the worms dig down through the sand and soil over the next week.
