Making Charoset

Today we made some super yummy charoset! Charoset is a food that we eat at Pesach (Passover) to symbolize the mortar the Jewish slaves used between the bricks of the buildings they built.Traditional charoset is a mixture of apples, nuts, cinnamon, and sweet wine (or grape juice). We kept our batch school safe! Ms. Krysti cut up some apples, and then the children helped chop them using a food chopper. Then we added some cinnamon and a splash of grape juice. The children shook a bag containing all the ingredients to mix it up. Then, we tried our charoset while we had our morning snack!

"I want to do it!"

"Woah! So many!"

"I really like this!"
