Exploring Warm Colors Day 1

Today was a day of firsts! We started our exploration of the colors red, yellow, and orange. We got to go to Gym for the first time, and got to explore the Light Studio this afternoon!




Our friends loved stacking the cups and seeing the shapes in the Light Studio! Some of of our friends were able to count the cups as well.

SC1.1: Use tools to explore the physical environment
SC4.1: Begin to construct and deconstruct using readily available materials
M1.1: Line up or organize objects
M1.1: Begin to apply verbal counting sequence to objects in order to develop one-to-one correspondence









Playing in the gym helps us work on our gross motor skills and our social skills.

SE 4.1: Use social referencing when encountering new experiences.
APL 2.1: Begin to show curiosity and interest in new objects, experiences, and people
PHG3.1: Begin to develop coordination and balance, requiring less support



We used cars to mix our warm color paints and observed what happened when the colors mixed.

CA3.1: Use simple art materials
SC1.1:Notice and react to cause and effect within the physical environment




Dot painters allowed us to explore our warm colors and work on some prewriting skills.

We are looking forward to more fun exploring our warm colors!
