We continued our exploration of shapes over the last couple of days. The children made some colorful works of art on our windows with contact paper and triangles. They liked being able to make the triangles stick! When the triangles would fall down, they would look for a sticker spot.
We also worked more on our sorting skills this week by sorting circles and triangles into two separate piles.
While we were outside, we discovered that one of our climbers is made out of triangles and the sun helps it make triangle shadows on the ground.
Our art table was covered with the beginning of a two day project this morning. We are using water colors to paint in shapes. Not only are the children identifying the shapes, but they are learning to share the paint palettes and combining colors to make different colors!
We had lots of other fun in the classroom these last couple of days! It is so amazing to see this class in those first stages of playing with others and interacting with each other!
