What a busy week we have had! The children have continued to explore the colors blue, green, and purple with paint, colored glue, sensory bottles, color paddles, Duplo blocks, magnets, pegs, pom poms, and anything else we can find in those three colors.
On Tuesday, we used liquid watercolors, wax paper, and watercolor paper to make some fun process art. The children dripped the liquid watercolors on the wax paper and watched it bead up instead of soaking into the paper. Then they smushed the watercolor paper onto the beads of watercolor to soak up the colors. This made some colorful art that will be displayed in our classroom very soon!
On Wednesday and Thursday, we got out our big mirror out and went to town with paint and colored glue. Our toddlers love anything that has to do with paint!
The children also spent some time making towers, using their fine motor skills to get the pom-poms out of the whisks, and using their gross motor skills to ride the bikes in the hall when it was too cold to be outside. We also spent some time learning the parts of our face and body in Hebrew while singing "Af Peh Ozen."
We are looking forward to some Friday Fun tomorrow as we continue to explore our colors.
